About the Author
Abie Longstaff has written nearly 50 books for children including The Fairytale Hairdresser, The Magic Potions Shop and The Trapdoor Mysteries as well as a wide range of educational titles. She regularly appears at literary festivals and in schools and sits on the Management Committee of the Society of Authors. Abie is the eldest of six children and grew up in Australia, Hong Kong and France. Series Editor, Kay Hiatt has been an English Advisor, Headteacher, Ofsted Inspector, manager of the National Literacy Strategy and project leader of a PSA for Raising Standards in Literacy at Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. She is a consultant for the Basic Skills Agency and most recently a freelance Literacy consultant and author of many books and articles.
