Clare is a former primary school teacher, turned children's writer. She is delighted her books mean she can continue to inspire children to love language, themselves and the world around them. Inspired by her time as a mental health champion, Clare founded Books That Help, to gather picture books touching on a range of issues that help when the words are hard to find. When Clare isn't fulfilling her dream of writing for children, she is helping aspiring writers do the same.
