Emily Ann Davison is a children's author, and survivor of childhood eye cancer. She studied Psychology at university before training as a primary school teacher. Emily is passionate about children's wellbeing, their development and education. She writes picture books and educational readers, with her work being translated into over 10 languages. Emily lives in the Garden of England, Kent, with her husband, daughter and mischievous dog.

Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 15 fluency levels aimed at children in Years 2-4. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina and speed and nurtures a love for reading. Fluency 12 books have a word count of 6240 words with an expected reading rate of 130 words per minute.
